FW: Hayfield High School Band Msg #5...Tag Day & 1st Home Football Game...This Week's Reminder

Band Booster Family,

WOW!  What a turnout for today’s Island Creek Elementary School performance.  I pass my thanks to the following because we couldn’t have done it without them:

Marie John

Ellen Hishta

Bettina Dowell

Sally Nicely

Atsuko Russell

NOTE:  These are the volunteers I know of.  If I missed you, please send me an e-mail; so, I can properly recognize youJ

Additionally, if you couldn’t attend their Island Creek performance, please see & share the following YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGxgDgOka28

Cecelia Bishop has bought 2 of our last 4 Band Booster t-shirts.  I’ve heard some people ask if we are going to make another order.  To help make this decision, I request two things:

1.        If you’re willing to order & buy t-shirts for around $12 each and/or polo for around $25 dollars, please e-mail me; so, I can get an interest count

2.       If you’d like to lead this effort, please e-mail me

Depending on how you look @ this, I have what I’d characterize as good news.  After coordinating with Mr. Burke, it appears that there will be less band equipment for home games & competitions to move & setup.  We’ll get a good feel for this @ our first home game this Fri, 9 Sep.  If it’s true, then we won’t need as many equipment mover volunteers throughout the remainder of the marching band season.  Please stay tunedJ

Based on the rest of the week, attached is the most current Excel spreadsheet with volunteers to include those that I’ve noted on Sign-Up Genius.  We still need a few volunteer slots filled.  Please see either Sign-Up Genius (http://signupgenius.com/go/hssband1 ) or the attached Excel spreadsheet.  Hope to see you all @ multiple events to support & cheer on our students.

Finally, our students REALLY NEED YOU!  As most teenagers, they will NEVER admit this.  Your VOLUNTEERISM is ESSENTIAL to THEIR SUCCESS!!!  Additionally, they really do APPRECIATE seeing you @ their various events cheering for them.  I hope to see ALL the parents volunteering @ various events throughout the year: )  If there is ANYTHING I can do or answer, please let me know.  Please keep the following links for future reference:

Band Booster Family,

Please note that because of the school clean-up crew, we will plan on finishing this Saturday’s, 10 Sep TAG DAY around 2 pm, instead of 4 pm.  If I could get a few money counters to show-up around 1:15 pm that would be great.  Please e-mail.  Thank you in advanceJ

Che
