RE: Hayfield High School Band Msg #54...Band Booster Mtg May 17--TONIGHT @ 7 pm...CONGRATS!

Hey, happy Friday! Hope you and the family are doing well. Sorry, I missed you @ the Band Booster mtg last night. Anyways, CONGRATULATIONS! Based on the nomination process and voting, you were unanimously nominated and voted as next year's Band Booster President. When you get a chance, please reply, so we can setup a mtg to do the handover. You're going to do great next year;)

Band Booster Family,

Just a little bit of family humor...got ya...lol;) Anyway, lots of information and discussions took place last night. Band Booster Secretary Jessica Tyeryar will put together the mtg minute notes, and we'll send that out soonest. However, in the mean time, here are some of the highlights:
- THANK YOU to everyone that played a role in making this a successful year!
- Budget wise, we're looking good...about $400 in the green including the fact we started buying new uniform items this year
- Those in attendance voted to donate $100 to the All-Night Graduation Party to provide a fun alternative in a secure and safe environment under adult supervision
- Additionally based on TAG Day survey results, voted to plan for two days again for next season and collecting more data to make a more informed decision for future years
- Mr. Burke's tentative, draft plan for next year's Music Dept Spring Trip is Orlanda, FL
- Nominated and voted the new Band Booster officers for next year:
-- President: Patricia "Pat" Cloud
-- Vice President: Dottie Andrews
-- Treasurer: Ken Lichtman
-- Secretary: Jessica Tyeryar
They'll be officially announced @ the final concert, June 6. When you see them, please congratulate them;)

We're SOOO close to finishing this year out. Please remember that there are still volunteer opportunities. And parents of seniors still need to send me three pics of their kids for the final concert slide show. Everyone have a great weekend!

Humbly serving our kids,
Che

Letters of Appreciation Offer

Band Booster Family,

This has been an extremely successful band year so far.  It’s difficult to believe we began last August with Marching Band, just recently helped bring home great ratings from Atlanta, GA, and so much in between.  We couldn’t have done this without your volunteer spirit and putting our students first.  Though I can’t compensate you in any monetary way, I make the following tangible offer.  If you would like me to send an e-mail “Letter of Appreciation” to your supervisors, bosses, chain of command, etc, I would be honored to on your behalf.  I know that most jobs like to know that their workers are volunteering in the community & may help their overall eval.  In order to help me help you, I need the following:

-          Your full name

-          Supervisor, boss, chain of command, etc full name with duty title

-          Their e-mail address(es)

-          Quick reminder of what, when, & how you volunteered

Whether you take this offer or not, please accept my gratitude for an outstanding and memorable year so far.  We’re not done yet…still more to come before graduation—Thur, 14 Jun: )

Humbly serving our kids,

Che Russell
