shoutOuts! to Your Band Student

Good afternoon, Band Supporters -

I hope everyone is enjoying spring break!  Can you believe that it’s almost 4th quarter?!

The Boosters have a new fundraiser that we are excited to tell you about.

Are you so proud of your band student and want to send them a special message message?  Or do you have a business that you would like to promote?  Place a shout OUT! in our upcoming High School Band Concert program! It’s a great way to either advertise OR send a public message of love and support to your band student(s).

What is a shout OUT!?

A personal advertisement printed in the Concert Program that lets someone know that you’re wishing them well, are proud of them, or whatever you want to say in a BIG way.

What to include in a shout OUT!

Advertising? Send your logo, business card, or ad.

Lovin’ on your kid? Send a baby picture, a vacation shot, or their senior portrait - add a caption including your child’s name - and there’s your shout OUT!

shout OUT! Submissions are for the final concert program of the year, on May 24th, and will be edited/approved by Hayfield Band Staff or Boosters. We reserve the right to change anything as needed for format and/or appropriateness.

Please complete the order form attached to this message; make checks payable to Hayfield Band Boosters, and send  them to Mr. Burke - attention shout OUT! Orders. Email your images, in high ng or .jpg file format to Trina Estrada-Good at estradat2@yahoo.com

Any questions?  Trina can help answer your questions.

Thank you for your support!

Good evening -

A quick reminder that there will be a band booster meeting on Thursday, 3/22, at 6:30pm in the band room.  Please see attached for the agenda for Thursday and the meeting minutes from the January meeting.  Obviously, if school is still closed on Thursday, there will be no meeting.

Also, if you haven’t logged onto Facebook to see photos from the spring trip, please do so.  We had a great time and the kids were SOOO good!  If your kid is still a little tired, it could be due to the fact that we walked no less than 5 miles each day.

Everyone enjoy your snowy Wednesday!

Senior Concert on May 24th! Pictures needed for Senior Slideshow!

As you know, end of year is fast approaching! Our final concert of the year is on Tuesday, May 24th. This may seem far away and too soon all at once!!

This is a special night for our Seniors, as it is their last High School concert. To celebrate their achievements, we are looking for pictures of our Seniors, as well as some from the band year, to include in a slideshow to be played at the concert.

Seniors should send 3 or 4 pictures, - a baby picture, grade school age, and a senior picture. They may also include a picture that depicts their plan after graduation. Whether that's a picture in college gear, a job, military, vacation, or just relaxing at home, we want to know what your Senior has planned!!

Pictures should be provided no later than May 1st to be included in the slideshow.

Please send pictures to me at Lori1715@gmail.com.

Thank you!!!

Hayfield Band Update

Hello, everyone  -

I hope you have all been able to catch up with losing your hour of sleep last night.  Next week – more sunshine!

We have a bunch of updates from the band program.  Let’s get to it!
  • Restaurant Night – Please help us raise much-needed funds for our band program by participating in our two-day restaurant event at Paisano’s Pizza Kingstowne.  Please present or mention the attached flyer with your order so that the band program can receive 20% of the total sales for March 14 and 15.  It’s good for lunch and dinner, so enjoy it twice, or at the office, or for dinner before the…
  • Spring Trip Meeting – On Wednesday evening, March 14 at 6:00pm.  This meeting is for the parents and students who will be participating in the trip to New York on March 16 – 18.
  • Pillow Sales – Guess what we are doing with the old marching band jackets?  We are making pillows out of them!  Well, not WE, but someone is and they look awesome!  If you would like to gift your student with a pillow from their marching band uniform, or if you are an alum or know an alum who would like a memento from their marching band years, you will want this!  The cost will be $65 per pillow.  Please see the order form attached for a photo and order info.
  • Booster Board Member Elections – It’s that time already!  Time to elect the band booster officers for next year!  If you are interested in serving on the booster board, please send me your nominations by March 31st.  Elections will take place at the booster meeting in April.  If you have questions, please let me know.
We are working on a date for the next booster meeting.  It was originally scheduled for March 19th, but since we will just be getting back from the spring trip, we wanted to take a day of rest.  I will be in touch as soon as we get a date.  Also, I will have some information about the upcoming spring concert and another fundraising opportunity.  Stay tuned!

As always, thank you all for your time and support!
