Hayfield Band Boosters Bylaws

Good Evening –

The Hayfield Band Boosters (acting) officers have been busy organizing for the new season.  Part of getting organized includes adopting bylaws for the organization.  Hayfield Band Boosters is a  501(c)(3) organization and as such, we must adopt bylaws to be in compliance with this distinction.

I have attached bylaws that have been written by the current officers.  As a member of the Hayfield Band Booster organization, (if you have paid the membership fee), you will have an opportunity to vote to adopt and ratify these bylaws at our first band boosters meeting on Monday, August 21 at 7:00pm in the Band Room.  Please take a moment to read through the attached document and bring any questions, concerns, or edits to the meeting on Monday evening.  Also, at the meeting on Monday, we will vote on those who have volunteered to be officers to the Board of Directors.

I have also attached the Hayfield Band Boosters sign-up form.  If you haven’t already, please consider becoming a member of the boosters.  All proceeds of your membership fee and booster fundraising efforts go directly to supporting the Hayfield bands programs.

Thank you very much for your time and attention.  We look forward to seeing you tomorrow evening at the potluck dinner (5:15pm in the Middle School Lecture Room) and again on Monday evening!

Best regards –

Angie

Due to the severe thunderstorms forecast for Friday afternoon and evening, Mr. Burke has decided to cancel the bands performance on Friday. We will have the potluck dinner. However, we will move up the potluck dinner to 5:15 pm. The kids have been working hard, so come help them celebrate at the potluck dinner.

So the potluck will start at 5:15 pm on Friday, August 18 in the middle school lecture hall. We are asking parents to provide the following items based on their students last name:

A-F, please provide a side dish

G-L, please provide 2-liter bottles of soda, water or tea

T-Z, please provide desserts.

In addition, we need assistance setting up and cleaning up the pot luck dinner.  We also will need help during the marching band season.  Below is the sign up genius link--please sign up to help your students and the marching band. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0b4baca92ea1ff2-2017

We Need You!

Good morning, Parents and Friends –

‘Tis the season…marching band season!

So much goes into the marching band program, and we couldn’t be successful without the help of all of our great parents and friends.  If you have the time/talent/tenacity, please consider supporting the band booster team.  The following people have volunteered to fill band booster officer positions:

·         Lead Chaperone – Work with the Marching Band Parent Representative to oversee and coordinate chaperones for marching band travel and for football games.

If you are able to fill any of these positions, we would LOVE to have your help!  Please feel free to contact me or any of the other band booster officers if you have questions or need further information.  Let’s help our kids have a great band year!

Good evening, Parents and Friends –

The Marching Hawks have been hard at work this week and ready for a much-needed rest before the all-day band camp sessions next week.  Let’s show our support for their hard work by purchasing SPIRIT WEAR!

Our esteemed drum majors (thank you, Cole and Alyssa) have set up shop with hoodies that can be printed with your name or other one-line text on the back!  The cost of the hoody without text is $39.89 and with text is $44.39.  There is a 27-shirt minimum.  If the minimum is not met, the order will be canceled, so please help out the drum majors and order your personal hoodies today at Tinyurl.com/HSMBHoodies.  Please place your orders by Thursday, August 31!

Additionally, the band boosters have set up shop with uniquely printed t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and other goodies at https://hayfieldssband.itemorder.com/sale.  These items will be on sale until Sunday, September 3 at 11:59pm.  We will also have t-shirts for sale at the exhibition/potluck event next Friday, August 18 and at Hawk Flight, August 23
