Thanks to those that attended the Fall Booster meeting on Tuesday, September 30. The year is off to a great start and I am encouraged by the strong parent participation.
Hayfield had a great win over Wakefield last Thursday night. As usual, the Band kept the spirit high. The night was made even more special by having the Middle Schoolers join the marching band for the pre-game show & in the stands. Thanks to the following Boosters for your support on Thursday:

Home Game This Week. It's Homecoming! The game will be played on Friday night against Yorktown. Don't miss the parade through Hayfield Farm. We will also sponsor the usual pizza dinner. There are still opportunities for parents of Flutes and Clarinets players to volunteer. Please go to Signup Genius and let us know where you will help.
If you sign up to donate snacks for the game, please ensure that you provide items that are individually wrapped and non-perishable. Additionally, please ensure that your donated items are in the uniform closet by 5:45 p.m. so that we can pack the bins and have them ready to be loaded on the bus by 6:00 p.m.
Other Notes
The Athletic Boosters need your help. There is a call out to sister Booster organizations to help with the concession stand for the game Friday night. There will be a large crowd and they need as much support as possible. If you an hour or two to spare, please go to the Athletic Boosters Homecoming Signup Genius site and let them know you will help.
Chipotle Fundraiser. We have a fundraiser scheduled with the Kingstowne Chipotle on October 14. If you go to Chipotle between 5 and 8 p.m. and present the Hayfield Band flyer, we will receive a portion of the proceeds. Please spread the word because we want to beat last year's proceeds (over $500 raised).
Fruit Sales. Fruit sales begin October 13. In addition to traditional signup lists, you will also be able to order fruit online for delivery to Hayfield or to another location (for an additional fee). Information will be coming home with your student & I will be sending it out with our weekly updates. Remember, students earn money to defer the cost of their Spring Trip with each box sold. So sell, sell, sell!
We Need Pictures. If you have taken pictures during any of the band events, please consider sharing them with us. We will compile a slide show to be shown at the Awards Banquet in November. Please send pictures to Hawkbandbooster@aol.com.
