Hayfield Band Boosters 2014-15 (Message 2): Signup Genius Volunteer Roster Is Active

Greetings All.

The Hayfield Secondary Bands Signup Genius site has now been activated.  You should have received an e-mail with the link earlier this evening.  The link is http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D49AEAD23A02-hssband3 .  To ensure that we have sufficient volunteers this year, we've divided the band into 5 sections:  Drum Majors/Section Leaders; Percussion (Drumline & Pit); Trumpets/Mellophones; Flutes & Clarinets; and Saxophones & Low Brass.  Each section is assigned 2 games (one Home game and one Away game).   I've attached a summary of the game assignments.  

The assigned section's parents will be responsible for filling all of the volunteer slots for the assigned game.  In addition, we encourage you to sign up for 5 additional volunteer slots throughout the year.  Most of the slots are in the Fall in support of Football games and Competitions.  We want to continue to provide the same level of support as in years past.  However, we can not do it without your support.

Reminders
Evening rehearsals begin Monday, August 11.   Rehearsals will be held from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. each evening.  
The Band Parent Coffee will be held August 14 at 7 p.m.  This is an opportunity to hear about the plans and changes for the year. 

Volunteer Needs 
Volunteers are needed beginning this week.  The following slots are available.  Please go to Signup Genius and let me know where you will help.
  • Uniforms  (2 people needed each night)
    • Monday, August 11, 5-8 p.m. Organize the uniforms and uniform closet
    • Tuesday, August 12, 5-8 p.m. Distribute uniforms
    • Wednesday, August 13, 5-8 p.m. Distribute uniforms
    • Thursday, August 14, 5-8 p.m. Distribute uniforms
    • Friday, August 15, 5-8 p.m. Distribute uniforms
  • Swim Party, Hayfield Farm Pool, August 21
    • Donate Desserts (5 people)
    • Setup/Tear Down (3 people)
  • Pot Luck/Exhibition, Hayfield, August 22 
    • Dishes will be assigned by last name
    • Setup and Clean up (6 people)
