All District Band Weekend ///// VOLUNTEERS NEEDED


HELLO!!  Here's hoping that everyone is ready for school to start again on Monday and that your families survived the snow. 

We need volunteers to help with the upcoming all district weekend. .. Next week Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  February 4-6, 2016.

At district band weekend,  we (the Band Boosters) are responsible for providing volunteers to help with 1) a concession table with snacks, water and soda, 2) selling lunch items in the cafeteria, 3) running a hospitality room for al of the band directors during the event and 4) purchasing the items for the concession sales from COSTCO and coordinating for items for the hospitality room.

On Friday, the program runs from 8am - 5pm.

On Saturday, the program runs from 8am - 2pm

1)  On Friday and Saturday, we need 3 or 4  people to man the concessions table.  (during breaks and during lunch)  // these cannot be the same as lunch helpers because we need to man both areas.

2)  On Friday and Saturday, we need to serve pizza and collect money during lunch.   There will be 250 students. .. so, we would need 5 parents to help during lunch (to serve and collect money .. so, that some can serve and others collect $ for sanitary reasons).

We will get a count of how many students plan to purchase lunch the day prior. Based on the numbers, Food will be ordered the day before (and ideally be delivered)

I need 5-6 volunteers to cover lunch on both Friday and Saturday.

Lunch will be served from 12-1pm; so, we need helpers from 1130-130pm to cover the lunch period.

3)  On Friday and Saturday, we will also have a hospitality room for the 35 band directors. .. this can be 1 or 2 people .. we are responsible for breakfast, lunch and snacks throughout the day.  Primarily setting up for the breakfast and lunch, then keeping the area stocked throughout the day.

This is normally, fruit and bagels, with orange juice and coffee for breakfast.  Subs or pasta and salad for lunch.

4)  I do not have a Costco card, but I can help shop and transport what we purchase if needed.. yes it will be reimbursed.

Please consider helping with our concessions table, serving/selling lunch, running the hospitality room or running to Costco.

I am also looking for fundraising ideas and volunteers to head those efforts as well as a team of parents that are willing to help wash our Tiny Tots costumes.
