Message for Band Members participating in Pit Orchestra
Dear parents of "Curtains" Pit musicians,
As you probably know, Drama Boosters is providing dinner for the cast, crew, and pit during these last long rehearsals. If your son or daughter has been partaking of those meals the last two days and plans to do so tomorrow, please send in $20 to help cover costs.
If your son or daughter would like a "Curtains" T-shirt, please send in an extra $10. The shirts should arrive tomorrow, and a variety of sizes will be available.
Please make your check payable to "Hayfield Drama Boosters." We also accept cash! Just have your son or daughter give the check/cash to Ms. Nugent, Mrs. Martelli, or to my daughter, Katie Hardy.
Thank you!!
~ Melanie Hardy
Tuxedo Sale - For guys who need a new tux (Thanks to Tim Keeports for sharing this info!)
JC Penny (Springfield) is having a very significant sale ahead of the major store renovation.
Most items in the store are on sale and we found high-gloss tuxedo shoes for $29, originally $70 (plus you can use the $10 coupon which recently came in the mail); only paid $19. They also have Tuxes, shirts, ties, etc. similarly marked down. Good deal ahead of the next event/year, especially if folks kids have grown (have any of them not)?
Seniors (parents of Seniors)
Please send your slide-show photos and a few lines about your Senior for the Concert Program to Mary Anne Mulligan by May 24: mamulligan@gmail.com THANKS!
Spring Concert: Tuesday, June 1 at 7pm (students will report earlier -- concert dresses for girls; tuxes for guys)
Lastly, Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful moms out there! I came across this video the other day (thanks to a good friend), and thought you might enjoy it too -- I'm sure we all recognize at least SOME of the phrases this fast-talking Mom sings in her 3 minutes of the WIlliam Tell Overture ... enjoy!

Have a great week, and I look forward to hearing from you.

HSS Band 2009-10.65 Seniors & Parents: Program for June Concert
Dear Band Boosters,
This is mainly for families of our seniors ... but, the rest of us can take note of these end-of-year activities, because, some day, it'll be our turn ...
Thanks to Mary Anne Mulligan (who had the idea AND is willing to do the work) we will include a little profile of each graduating senior in the program for the last concert. (This is similar to what Orchestra does for their seniors; and the Cast lists in the drama programs.)
Parents: please email a few lines about your senior to Mary Anne mamulligan@gmail.com, (Ideas include what instrument(s) they've played, activities in band, plans for after high school, any favorite memories, thank-yous, etc.)
Remember, Mary Anne also needs photos for the senior slide show. If you haven't sent them yet, you can just add the blurb about your senior in the e-mail with the .jpg photos attached.
PLEASE SEND INFO and PICTURES to Mary Anne by May 24.
The June Concert is scheduled for Tuesday, June 1, at 7pm in the auditorium.
And, parents, congratulations to you and your senior. We're going to miss this wonderful group of students.
Humbly serving our kids,
Lorraine Monaco
