NOTE: ALL parents, especially parents of juniors, sophomores, and incoming freshmen are needed to attend 7pm, Thur, May 17 Band Booster mtg to not only close out the 2011-2012 season but also plan for the 2012-2013 season.   Below is a draft agenda:

6         Band Concert, 7:00pm…The Final Concert…another boutonnières making opportunity for seniors’ last concert and slideshow of senior pics x 3 (1 as a baby, 1 in the middle, and 1 near graduation)

7, 8      Drum Major Auditions, during band classes

?         Underclass Awards, 7:30am, Jazz Band

11       Tri-M Music Dept. Awards -pot luck dessert

14      Graduation, 4:30pm, Wind Ensemble…volunteers needed to serve lunch

18       Marching Band Clinic, 11:30am-1:30pm

Additionally, they really do APPRECIATE seeing you @ their various events cheering for them. Prelude:  CONGRATS!  The mixed Wind Ensemble/Symphonic band group got second place and a rating of “Excellent!”  Thank you to EVERYONE (prior to departure, during the trip, and upon arrival) for making this year’s Music Dept Spring Trip to Atlanta, GA a huge success!

Hayfield High School Band Msg #49.5......Music Dept Spring Trip...Return Plan/Volunteers Needed

Currently, the busses are due back approximately 10 am, Sunday, April 22, 2012 in the back of the school.  Mr. Burke is supposed to contact me when they pass Stafford, VA.  However as a backup, if anyone you know on the trip contacts you with more precise info, then please call me (703) 405-9065.  So, here’s the plan:

-          I will send out another e-mail @ that time

-          We need volunteers to meet @ the back of the school to help unload

-          DO NOT PARK ALONG THE UNLOADING/LOADING CURB BECAUSE THIS IS FOR THE BUSSES!!!

-          IF YOU SEE ANYONE PARKING THERE, PLEASE KINDLY ASK THEM TO MOVE;)
