Spring Trip Meeting.  There will be a MANDATORY trip meeting for you and your student on Tuesday, April 28 at 6:30pm in the Hayfield Auditorium.  Students must bring their large bag for drop off.  After the meeting, we need volunteers to assist the Music Department in screening and storing the bags.  Please let me know if you can help.  Last year it took less than 30 minutes to search and secure the bags.

Graduating Senior Pictures.   It is our tradition to present photos of our graduating Seniors during the final concert of the year scheduled for June 1.  Thanks to those who have already submitted pictures (they are adorable!).  If you haven't submitted pictures, please provide 3 pictures of your senior--infant, mid years, and senior year for inclusion in the slide show.  Send your digital images to Hawkbandbooster@aol.com by May 15.  If you do not have digital images, please send me a note and we will arrange to have your photos digitized.  

Suggestions for 2015-2016 Band year.  If you have suggestions on how to improve Band Booster support for the upcoming school year, please send them to us at Hawkbandbooster@aol.com.  We will discuss your inputs at our final Booster Meeting, May 14.

Fundraisers.  We have two upcoming fundraisers that will ensure that we have operating funds to begin the 2015-2016 school year.   Both will be at the Chipotle, Kingstown e Center, 5955 Kingstowne Towne Center Ste 160, Alexandria, VA 22315, (703) 924-6018. Dates and times follow:
Middle School.   Sunday April 12, 5 p.m.-8 p.m.
High School. Sunday, April 26, 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

Hayfield Band Boosters 2014-15 (Message 38): Congratulations to the Wind Ensemble; Zips Fundraiser, Thursday, March 12

Congratulations to the Wind Ensemble for an Excellent rating for the Concert Band Assessment on Saturday!  They are to be applauded for their hard work.

Reminder:  Our next fundraiser will be held on March 12, at the ZIPS Cleaners at 6216 North Kings Highway, Alexandria, Virginia.  ZIPS will be open from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. to meet your dry cleaning and laundering needs. Garments can be cleaned for $1.99.  Zips also cleans heavy duty items like drapes, comforters, quilts, etc. at very good prices.  This an excellent fundraiser for the band and ensures that we have operating funds to begin the 2015-16 school year.  So please spread the word to family and friends. 

When you are at Zips, please let them know that you support the Hawks Band.  Zips has been a great partner for our Booster organization.

Hayfield Band Boosters 2014-15 (Message 37): Assessment Tomorrow, March 7, Edison High School

Please note that Assessment is still on for tomorrow, Saturday, Mar 7.  Please ensure that your student reports to Edison Auditorium Lobby 1:15 tomorrow.

The Virginia Tech performance has been moved to West Potomac High School, 6500 Quander Rd, Alexandria, VA, 22307.   The Day and time are still correct.

Please share with your student:

The Virginia Tech Marching Virginians will be practicing on Friday for the Military Bowl on Saturday. The practice will be in Alexandria at St Stephens St Agnes on Braddock Road from 2 to 4 in the afternoon. You are welcome to observe their practice.  There are Hayfield alumni in the band.  Please go out and cheer the band on if you are available.
