Spring Trip. Your student should have brought home a flyer for the Spring Trip to Orlando. The trip is scheduled for April 17-21. The trip includes lodging, bus transportation, adjudication and performance fees, 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners, a 3-day park-hopper pass to Walt Disney World Parks, dining coupons for the parks and a dinner show experience. Students will need to bring money for 1 dinner, 2 breakfasts, 4 lunches and money for shopping. The cost is $680 dollars, payable in 5 payments of $136. Payments are due October 15, November 15, January 4, February 1, and March 1. Checks should be payable to HayfieldSecondary School. Note: the cost of each student's trip will be adjusted with any fundraising credits that he/she accrues in his/her Booster organization account.
Fruit Sales. Fruit Sales begin March 9 and continue through November 2. Fruit is delivered in early December. Navel oranges and red grapefruit will again be offered. During the sale, encourage your student to ask everyone they know--family, friends, neighbors, teachers, former band families, etc--if they would like to buy fruit. Students will earn money in the form of credits toward their spring trip account for each box of fruit sold. The more they sell, the less the trip will cost. Fruit will be offered at $18.00 for a box of 16-18 navel oranges or 8-10 red grapefruit. Mixed boxes of 6-8 oranges and 5 grapefruit are available for $20.00.
Our Fruit Sale Chairman, Linda Lichtman has developed a customizable template that you can be used if you want to post the order form on a bulletin board or common area. It is attached to this e-mail. If you have contacts that would prefer to order online, that is also an option this year. At the bottom of this e-mail, you will find an e-mail template that you can customizefor your student. When your contact goes online, they will need to order under your student's Seller ID (Student must obtain Seller ID from Mr. Burke). When ordering online, you have two options--delivering to Hayfield or delivering directly to their home address. The price when delivering to Hayfield will be the same as quoted above. The price per box when delivered to another location will be $35.00 per box.
We hope to increase the amount of fruit sold this year. Prizes will be awarded to Top Sellers.

Competitions, Saturday, October 13 and Saturday, October 20. We need additional chaperones and volunteers for the Pit Crew to assist in loading the truck at Hayfield, unloading the truck in Gaithersburg and getting the equipment onto and off the field. Please let us know where you can help.
