Hayfield High School Band Msg #47......Spring Trip Rehearsals

Band Booster Family,

 

Prelude:  For the next few weeks, the band will hone their skills for the spring trip performances.

 

NOTE: Parents of seniors, it’s not too early to be thinking about the 3 pictures (baby pic, kid pic, & senior pic) you want to use for the Final Concert, Wed, 6 Jun 2012

12-14   all state band weekend (not at hayfield)

TBD/probably 17       Spring Trip Meeting 7pm…Mandatory for parents & chaperones

10-12, 18, 19   High School Musical

7-22       Auditions for 2011-2012 bands, during class periods

17      Band Booster Meeting 7pm Band Room…discussions/decisions to finish out the year & prepare for the next school year


June 2012

6         Band Concert, 7:00pm…The Final Concert…another boutonnières making opportunity for seniors’ last concert and slideshow of senior pics x 3 (1 as a baby, 1 in the middle, and 1 near graduation)

7, 8      Drum Major Auditions, during band classes

?         Underclass Awards, 7:30am, Jazz Band

11       Tri-M Music Dept. Awards -pot luck dessert

14      Graduation, 4:30pm, Wind Ensemble…volunteers needed to serve lunch

18       Marching Band Clinic, 11:30am-1:30pm

 

Second, miscellaneous items:
- For those that owe, fifth & final payment of $136 or pro-rated for March 1st for the Band Spring Trip, 18-22 Apr to Atlanta, GA… http://www.hayfieldbands.com/id76.html
- The large composite picture of the Marching Band is now available for purchase through www.jeaneimages.com using password, “2011band” when prompted.  Click on the link, and order pictures from this site.  Thank you to Band Booster parent/alumni Jean Martelli for sharing her photographic talents!

Finally, our students REALLY NEED YOU! As most teenagers, they will NEVER admit this. Your VOLUNTEERISM is ESSENTIAL to THEIR SUCCESS!!! Additionally, they really do APPRECIATE seeing you @ their various events cheering for them. I hope to see ALL the parents volunteering @ various events throughout the year: ) If there is ANYTHING I can do or answer, please let me know. Please keep the following links for future reference:

I finally received the official results for Symphonic Band from Festival: CONGRATS to Symphonic for "Excellent" from the 3 judges for the concert and a "Superior" for sight reading.  HAWKS ROCK!

RE: Hayfield High School Band Msg #45...High School Band Festival

Band Booster Family,

 

1st of all, thank you to Lisa Grant, Marie Sudik, Dottie Andrews, and Karen Dubay for volunteering yesterday for the Symphonic Band for Festival.  I heard they did well but still haven't heard official results.

 

2nd, CONGRATS to Wind Ensemble for receiving "SUPERIOR" ratings today from Festival.  HAWKS ROCK!  It was great seeing all the parents there today cheering;)
