Concert Uniforms

Our concert time is nearing and now would  be a good time to think about uniforms.

The boys are your responsibility.

With the girls, we will have our dress fitting  next week. The girls who were in Middle School advanced symphonic band  band last year, or any of the  high school bands already have this dress.

The girls new to the program, or needing a dress will need to bring in a check for $65 dress fee. Please make the check out to

the Hayfield Band Boosters.

If you cannot afford a dress, we have a few gently used dresses.

HAYFIELD SECONDARY CONCERT BAND UNIFORM

 

All students in band are required to wear a specific uniform for concerts.  The first High  School Symphonic Band performance with the uniforms for this season will be December 13, 2016.

 

The gentlemen are required to wear black tuxedo pants, coat , a black bow tie, black cummerbund and a white tuxedo shirt.

  Parents of males are on their own to source this through local retailers.

 

The ladies are required to wear a black dress sold by Stage Accents.  We save on shipping by placing one large order.  To prepare for the order, we'll have volunteers from Band Boosters in the classroom soon to measure the ladies and take orders.  If your daughter needs to order a dress this year, please send in a check for $65.00 made payable to Hayfield Band Boosters. Deadline for payment is November 4,2016.

Marching Band Chipotle Night - TOMORROW!

Don't cook dinner tomorrow night! 

Support your Marching Hawks at their Chipotle fundraiser! The band earns 50% of the proceeds between 5-8 when you show the flyer.  You can show the flyer on your phone or just tell them you are there for the band fundraiser. Hope to see you all tomorrow!

Homecoming game & Final Competition - Help needed!!

Good morning Band Family!!

As you know, our marching band show has lots of moving parts and pieces!  We need some more hands to get us on and off the field.

For Friday nights game, we need a few more parents to help us get the props and equipment in place.  If you could just come to the fence when you see the band leave the stands, one of our seasoned parents will tell you what to grab/move!

For Saturday's competition, we need a few extra hands as well.  We normally have plenty of room on the buses (they are chartered and not school buses!).  Or you can meet us as the school.  Schedule below:

        9:30 am-report
        10:15 am dress
        11:00am -Depart
       1:30pm- perform
       2:00pm receive ratings, depart 
      3:15pm -return to Hayfield,  dismissed

Fundraising Opportunities - We Need Your Help!!!

Dear Marching Hawk Families,

With the support of Mr. Burke and the Band Booster Board, we are ready to kick our fundraising into high-gear! 

Here's what YOU can do:

-Print out the Sponsorship Request Form, attached, and share it with your employer. Does your Employer have a matching gift program? Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift! 

-Consider the businesses you frequent. Take a copy of the Sponsorship Request on your next visit and just ask!

-Share the Razoo Crowdfunding link on ALL your social media accounts: https://www.razoo.com/us/story/Marchinghawks

The more exposure we get, the more likely we are to reach our goal!

 Remember, though donations do not directly fund your child's uniform costs, gifts may be made in sponsorship of your child - benefits of Sponsorship are listed on the request form, attached.

The Band Boosters will be hosting its first meeting of the season this week on Wednesday evening at 7:00pm in the band room.  Please come out to find out what the band is up to for this season and how you can help! 

 

Topics included in Wednesday evening's meeting include:

·         …and most importantly…Volunteer Support

 

This meeting is open to all.  Please come with your ideas!  Freshmen parents – this will be a great opportunity to meet other Booster parents and find out how you can get involved.
